Royal Thai Army Capt. Adikorn Yakub shares his thoughts on this year’s iteration of exercise Cobra Gold 2020 and the relationship between Thai and U.S. forces at Ban Kholng Phai Ngam School in Sukhothai, Thailand, Feb. 19, 2020. Yakub, a native of Nan, Thailand, is with the 4th Engineer Battalion and has worked alongside U.S. service members for several weeks to construct a bathroom for local Thai students in support of Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold 20 maintains a consistent focus on humanitarian civic action, community engagement, and medical activities conducted during the exercise to support the needs and humanitarian interests of civilian populations around the region.
