KIN BLUE, OKINAWA (Feb. 9, 2020) Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and service members with the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force’s Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade conduct a bilateral small-boat raid followed by High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System insert and simulated shot on Kin Blue Beach, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 8 and 9, 2020. The America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
