Airmen from the 821st Contingency Response Group were put to the test during the most recent Joint Readiness Training Center exercise at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The contingency response element simulated opening operations in a combat zone, all the while the Devil Raiders had to handle simulated unexploded ordnance, communication outages, hostile fire, combat first aid, and protesters.
