The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit hosted the U.S. Army Junior Rifle National Championship January 23-25 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The invitation-only, three day event brought more than 300 junior athletes from 24 states to the historic Army base. The youth competitors shot the Smallbore Event today, which includes a side-by-side, three-position rifle competition that is comprised of shooting a total of 60 rounds in the standing, kneeling and prone positions with a .22 caliber rifle within 105 minutes. This b-roll package shows some of the relays and the Smallbore Finals.
