Coast Guard Vice Admiral Scott Buschman, Atlantic Area commander, Command Master Chief Jim Bach, Atlantic Area command master chief, Vice Admiral Linda Fagan, Pacific Area commander, and Command Master Chief Heath Jones, Pacific Area command master chief, teamed up to share a message about our service culture and what gives our Core Values meaning - our incredible people, Jan. 17, 2020. Their joint message to the Coast Guard workforce emphasizes to the entire service they deserve nothing less than to come to work and be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. They also emphasize we must accomplish our mission while fostering a culture that is intolerant to behaviors that go against our Coast Guard core values by ensuring this is a responsibility we all share. They go on to highlight one step towards this effort is Admiral Karl Schultz’s re-issuance of a Lawful General Order that prohibits sexual harassment and makes it a violation of the UCMJ.
