Video package showcasing EvenPulse resiliency training offered to Defenders, base leadership, and spouses
TRANSCRIPT:
We have integrated EvenPulse into our squadron training through multiple iterations. Now with this week, we’re taking that training and building upon it even more. And the biggest thing that we want them to know and understand is that the weapons they carry are merely tools. That the individuals are the weapon system. They’re the ones that have to critically think. They’re the ones that have to actually employ the weapon system, employ the trigger. The biggest stressor that we have is are we going to be able to engage our threats? Are we going to be able to eliminate them? Will we be able to hit our target should it actually happen? By incorporating some of these techniques that EvenPulse is providing to us, we are able to lower the stress level and as well as be able to effectively engage the target. With this week, at the end of our weapons firing, we are going to host training specifically for unit commanders, unit first sergeants, and unit superintendents. So that from the leadership perspective, again, truly getting after what General Goldfien and Chief Wright have stated in that you need to be able to put your mask on and help yourself. Lead by example and truly own your pitfalls of resilience, or lack thereof. These kind of lessons, these kind of life-changing thought-processes are what creates the catalyst for someone to invest more in bettering themselves. These types of skills truly build life-long resilience.
