Senior Master Sgt. Bartek Bachleda, 2018 Air Force Spark Tank winner, designed and invented a new KC-135 Stratotanker boom operator instructor platform while assigned to the 22nd Refueling Wing at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The platform is currently being implemented at Altus Air Force Base, Okla., and eventually will be fitted in the entire Air Force KC-135 fleet. He encourages Airmen who have innovative ideas that will improve the Air Force, to submit those ideas to help cultivate the culture of innovation.
