Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 conducts hoist training with 1st Special Forces Group-Airborne, U.S. Army, off the coast of Kin Blue Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 5, 2019. This training was conducted to increase efficiency while conducting hoist and rescue missions over the open water. The ability to successfully rescue stranded individuals from the water with tiltrotor aircraft provides additional life-saving response options, strengthens readiness and increases joint interoperability between 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and 1st Special Force Group-Airborne.
