AFRep serves as a small shop meant to save the Air Force time, money, and a whole lot of hassle.
TRANSCRIPT:
AFREP is Air Force Repair Enhancement Program. We take on electronics from around the base. Anything from printers, vacuums, aircraft parts, and everything. We try to see if we can sort of recycle them, make them usable again. So that way there’s less waste around the base. I love tearing things apart and putting them back together. I like building, making, and making things work again. So everything about this job is great for me. We can save a lot of money ultimately. Printers add up quickly at two to three thousand dollars a piece. Aircraft parts are also very expensive and this all goes back to the flying funds, back to the squadrons that don’t have to spend the money to replace it, back in Beale’s pocket.
