Over the last 72 years American Airmen have defended this country in the air, space, and cyberspace ensuring our way of life is protected and preserved. Without the support from our communities, none of it would be possible. The 2019 Thunder Over South Georgia Open House was a celebration of air power as we opened our doors for two days to showcase some of the best aerial displays our country has to offer.
Thunder Over South Georgia was headlined by the world famous Blue Angels and featured multiple demonstrations including the F-22 Heritage Demo Team, Smoke N Thunder jet truck, and the Wings of Blue Parachute Team. Additionally, visitors had the opportunity to interact with aircrew and view static displays that included the A-10C Thunderbolt II, HH-60G Pave Hawk, B-29 Superfortress FIFI and HC-130J Combat King II to name a few.
