Hundreds lined the streets to cheer on participants of the 35th Annual Bronx Veterans Day Parade in Bronx, New York, Nov. 10, 2019. The purpose of the parade is to honor local veterans and military personnel, while raising community awareness of their sacrifices, ongoing needs when they return home, and the available supportive services. The parade included veterans, service members, elected officials, community leaders, service organizations, marching bands to include the New York City Police Department band, and associated participants. The parade concluded inside River Park with special recognition speeches by many distinguished guests, to include Maj. Gen.
