FORT BLISS, Texas -- Soldiers from 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team "Bulldog", 1st Armored Division, hosted veterans during Torch Week activities at Fort Bliss, Texas, Nov. 5, to interact with Iron Soldiers in the field and share experiences focusing on Army Heritage.

Torch Week is an annual event commemorating the division’s role in the World War II invasion of North Africa, known as ‘Operation TORCH,’ as well as to celebrate the division’s history, and honor the everlasting legacy of Iron Soldiers through week-long sporting and morale-boosting events, which promote camaraderie and cohesion throughout the division.
