Members of the 968th Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron conduct a combat sortie over Southwest Asia on Nov. 5, 2019 as part of Operation Inherent Resolve. The squadron flies the Boeing E-3 Sentry, which provides early warning of enemy activity as well as control of friendly aircraft in the area of operation. The sortie included a daytime and nighttime aerial refuel with a KC-10 and a KC-135. The squadron is part of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates.
