It starts with a torch lighting ceremony at Terminal Island in San Pedro, California partnered with the US Coast Guard. The ceremony is followed by a run with the torch from Terminal Island to Los Angeles AFB. Once the torch arrives at LAAFB runners continue around the base track until the next morning. The run is separated into legs with each base Corps assigned to each leg. The run is 24 hours starting at 0900 Sep 19 and ending at Los Angeles AFB at 0900 Sep 20. The Wreath Laying Ceremony immediately follows the end of the run.
