Soldiers from 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team,1st Cavalry Division and 838th Transportation Battalion, 598th Trans. Bde., off load vehicles from the ARC PATRIOT vehicle carrier vessel in the port of Vlissingen, Netherlands.
2ABCT will begin a nine-month rotation throughout the European region as the 5th iteration of Atlantic Resolve.
The unit will use four separate modes of transportation including low-barge, line-haul, rail-car and convoy movements to rapidly deploy combat power into the European theater to support U.S. Allies and partner nations.
