    3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade

Multinational service members take part in a small arms live fire activity as part of exercise KAMANDAG 3 at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, Oct. 13, 2019. KAMANDAG helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness, and enhances combined military-to-military relations, interoperability, and multinational coordination. At the 2:13 timestamp, Philippine Marine Corps 1st Lt. Lance Dy, a native of Manila, Philippines, further discusses the training conducted at the small arms live fire event and why KAMANDAG 3 is important to the world. At the 4:01 timestamp, U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Zachery Vogt, a native of Tacoma, Washington, talks about the benefits KAMANDAG 3 offers his platoon and his personal experience thus far during the exercise. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries.
