Jared Silva an aerospace ground equipment specialist, 143d Maintenance Squadron, discusses his job at the 143d Airlift wing during an interview March 2, 2019, at Quonset Air National Guard Base, North Kingstown, R.I. Silva’s responsiblities include maintaining and repairing the equipment that supplies electricity, hydraulic pressure and air pressure to our planes. From inspecting and troubleshooting to making hands-on repairs and maintaining proper standards, these professionals make sure our planes are always ready for flight.
