63rd Fighter Squadron F-35 Lightning lls took to the skies in force as part of Exercise Panther Beast. Maintainers build more than 24 bombs in preparation for the air-to-ground strikes. Collaboration between maintenance, ammo, and pilots ensured a successful start of the mission. Coordination with multiple units saw 4 F-35s and an Arizona National Guard KC-135 refueler in the skies over Arizona. Pilots flew 50 miles to acquire and destroy 6 to 12 targets.
