The International Submarine Races (ISR) are a capstone STEM event, where students and independent teams compete in a design competition for human-powered underwater vehicles. The ISR is sponsored by the Foundation for Underwater Research & Education (FURE), and are held biennially at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division.
