After three days of classroom learning, Soldiers and Airmen from the Kansas National Guard wrapped up their Wildland Fire Fighting training by participating in a controlled burn exercise in Salina, Kansas, Sept. 19. The training and validation allows local fire departments the ability to employ National Guard resources in support of wildland fire fighting operations to protect the lives and property of Kansas citizens.
