The Kansas National Guard in partnership with the Kansas Forest Service presented a Wildland Firefighting Showcase Thursday, Sept. 19, in Salina. The event focused on wildland firefighting capabilities in preparation for next year's wildfire season.
The showcase demonstrated the capabilities of the Kansas National Guard using a brush truck, a UH-60 helicopter Bambi bucket, dip tank, and wildland fire tender.
