190915-N-VU442-003 PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 15, 2019) Military Sealift Command (MSC) government owned tanker ship SS Petersburg (T-AOT-9101) prepares to deploy a single-anchor leg mooring (SALM) during Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel are participating in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
