More than a year ago, Hurricane Florence made landfall in Eastern North Carolina, dumping nearly 36 inches of rain, totaling 10 trillion gallons of water across the state. Marine Corps Installations in its path were significantly impacted resulting in nearly $3.6B in repairs and reconstruction. While the base has made significant strides in its recovery, it is estimated that it will take five years before impacted bases and stations achieve full restoration. (U.S. Marine Corps Video by Sgt.
