A U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, California Army National Guard, takes firefighters from a helibase in Red Bluff, California, out to a remote area to fight the Red Bank Fire, Sept. 9, 2019, in Tehama County, California. Cal Guard helicopters are able to get firefighters out to the fire line within minutes whereas it would take several hours by vehicle and foot. Traveling by helicopter enables hand crews to spend more time cutting line and less time in transit to remote areas. (U.S. Air National Guard video by Staff Sgt. Crystal Housman)
