Airmen from across the 142nd Fighter Wing took part in their first Suicide Awareness Run. The event is an effort to start a broader conversation about suicide in the Military, and the resources available to Airmen and families in crisis. The 5k run came on a day the Wing was initiating a base-wide "tactical pause", a day in which airmen step away from their daily duties to discuss suicide and the broader stressors of military life.
