U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, land CH-53E Super Stallions aboard the USS Somerset (LPD-25) during Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise 2019 (AECE) while operating in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 7, 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel are participating in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
