The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Task Force Barrier has begun replacement of barriers along the southwest border of the United States and Mexico September 5th near Yuma, Arizona. The barrier system project will span approximately five miles, replacing existing anti-vehicular barriers with 30-foot tall steel bollard barriers. The Yuma five mile border barrier project is one of the many DoD-funded barrier system projects that USACE is providing direction and oversight of construction along the U.S. southwest border.
