YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 25, 2019) Intelligence Specialist 1st Class Robert Hoesl, from West Deptford, New Jersey, is on his third tour in Yokosuka, Japan. Before being assigned to Commander, Submarine Group 7, he was a Sailor aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier George Washington (CVN 73) before cross-decking to USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). "One of the best things about living in Japan is experiencing the culture as a whole," said Hosel. "Trying out different things, whether it's a festival or the new sushi in town, which is excellent! I do enjoy traveling. There are many opportunities for travel in the country, or the region, whether it's to Korea, Taiwan or even Singapore. It's very easy and cheap travel. That's one of the biggest things I enjoy about Japan." (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Luke McCall).
