Pfc. James Kegerreis, Combat Medic Specialist, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, is one of the few Soldiers to get certified in the Combatives Master Trainer Course the same year they joined the Army. In this video he talks about his experience with Army combatives; being proficient in self-defense is a skill Kegerreis feels is necessary if he wants to be the best combat medic he can be.
