2nd Lt. Abigail Zimmerman explains the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team’s (IBCT) Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and Joint Forward Observer (JFO) Integration training at Northern Strike 19 in Camp Grayling, Mich. 23 July. The training was comprised of Soldiers from the 41st IBCT, 2nd Battalion,122 Field Artillery, Illinois Army National Guard, 1st Battalion, 279th Infantry, Oklahoma National Guard and 169th Air Support Operations Squadron, Illinois Air National Guard.
Exercise Northern Strike 19 is one of the largest reserve component exercises supported by the U.S. Department of Defense. Its mission is to maximize the full-spectrum combat readiness of National Guard units through realistic, cost-effective joint fires training in an adaptable environment, with an emphasis on cooperation between joint and coalition forces.
