Coimbra Response crews use a remotely operated vehicle to assist deep-water divers providing critical video support and work site assistance during oil recovery operations from the Coimbra shipwreck. A unified command of US Coast Guard and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation began recovery operations on May 11, 2019 after discovering a significant amount of oil trapped in the Coimbra wreck. The Coimbra was a British supply ship carrying oil to Nova Scotia when is was torpedoed by German U-Boat 123 in January, 1942. US Coast Guard video by Resolve Marine.
