A specialized team of operators controls a remote vehicle during oil recovery operations at a depth of 180 feet. A unified command of US Coast Guard and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation began recovery operations on May 11, 2019 after discovering a significant amount of oil trapped in the Coimbra wreck.
