Marines and other service members participated in the 2019 Interservice Rifle Marksmanship competition at Weapons Training Battalion aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico June 24 - 30.
The Marine Corps Rifle Team preformed well this year with two shooters setting new inter-service records. Sgt. Justin Crago set a new record for the Kistler trophy, shooting a 796-38x and Staff Sgt. Daniel Rhodes set a new record for the Marine Corps match with a 200-15x. Other accolades include Staff Sgt. Stephen Ferguson winning the 600-yard match with a score of 200-12x and Sgt. Justin Crago placing third with 199-9x. Sgt. Shane Butler placing 3rd in the Marine Corps match with a 200-11x. Cpl Wynn took third during the Excellence in Competition match with a score of 488-13x.
During the 10-Man team match, the Marine Corps Rifle Team took second place with a score of 4898-174x out of a possible 5000.
