U.S. Army Sgt. Mark Smetanka, multichannel transmission systems operator-maintainer, 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 40th Infantry Division, was interviewed during 2019 Annual Training at Camp Roberts Training Base, California, June 20. Smetanka spoke of how his decision to join the California Army National Guard has improved his personal life in the form of benefits he receives that helps to provide him a better life.
