U.S. Army Sgt. Jose Ortega, forklift operator, Bravo Company, 578th Brigade Engineering Brigade, 40th Infantry Division, was interviewed during 2019 Annual Training at Camp Roberts Training Base, California, June 20. Ortega spoke of how his decision to join the California Army National Guard was to honor his family and to walk in the footsteps of his fellow warriors as he serves his state and the nation.
