U.S. Army Sgt. Marc Brakefield, senior forklift operator, Bravo Company, 578th Brigade Engineering Brigade, 40th Infantry Division, was interviewed during 2019 Annual Training at Camp Roberts Training Base, California, June 20. Brakefield spoke of how his decision to join the California Army National Guard helped steer his life in a positive direction and helped him avoid problems in his life by instilling Army Values within him.
