Weerasekara, a native of Ampara, Sri Lanka, is a platoon sergeant for Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. Khaan Quest is a multinational exercise co-sponsored by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and hosted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces. Approximately 220 U.S. personnel and 900 Mongolian Armed Forces personnel are expected to participate in Khaan Quest, along with 750 personnel from 30 other countries.
