Soldiers compete for the Expert Infantryman Badge at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, May 27 to June 1, 2019. The 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division hosted the event for Soldiers within U.S. Army Central’s area of operations. 1st Lt. Shelby DePriest, an infantryman assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, became the first female to earn the badge in the 8th Infantry Regiment’s history. USARCENT supports these types of events which further develop prepared and capable leaders to stay combat ready and improve overall capabilities of its mission.
