The Space and Missile Systems Center is being redesigned for transforming our culture to focus on speed and delivering war-winning capabilities. The SMC Commander has begun the restructuring of the organization that oversees a $6 billion space portfolio.
As SMC undergoes it’s restructuring, in line with SMC 2.0 EPIC Speed, the Production Corps has streamlined the way they now manage space development for GPS. This latest launch is the first of an entirely new design of GPS satellites that will help the Air Force modernize today’s GPS constellation with new technology and advanced capabilities.
