United States Air Force Staff Sgt. Danielle Garcia, a 108th Wing Emergency Management Airman, lost her dog Pepper to a brain tumor a month before deploying to Southwest Asia. While deployed, her fellow Airmen came across a stray that she was allowed to care for. After months of devotion and paperwork, Mina was cleared to come to her forever home in New Jersey.
