Airmen treat a sand boil at the base of the levee that protects Rosecrans Memorial Airport and surrounding communities on March 22, 2019 in Elwood, Kan. Sand boils are caused when pressure from the river pushes water under the levee. Airmen from the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard, are on stand by to assist local authorities with flood relief efforts.
