U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pacific Ocean Division

The Pacific Ocean Division (POD), as part of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and in conjunction with DoD partners, continues disaster recovery efforts in Saipan, following the aftermath of category five Super Tyhpoon Yutu. The Army’s premier engineering arm in the Pacific has been prepositioned in the affected U.S. Pacific territory island chain since before the late October storm hit, and are slated to remain until FEMA-directed mission assignments are completed.

Pacific Ocean Division and Honolulu District teams provided critical public facility support to two schools: Northern Marianas College and Koblerville Elementary School.
