The Pacific Ocean Division (POD), as part of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), continues disaster recovery efforts in Saipan, following the aftermath of category five Super Typhoon Yutu, thanks to the support of volunteers and DoD partners. The Army’s premier engineering arm in the Pacific has been prepositioned in the affected U.S. Pacific territory island chain since before the late October storm hit, and are slated to remain until FEMA-directed mission assignments are completed.
