Each year the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit hosts the U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at U.S. Army Fort Benning with the goal of increasing lethality across the force.
The week-long competition includes both tactical and civilian-style course of fire that test the Soldiers abilities on both the rifle and pistol.
Sgt. Benjamin Cleland, a Swanton, Ohio native with the USAMU Service Rifle Team, explains what the 'All Army" is about and why it is important.
More than 260 competitors from across the United States, and all components: U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, National Guard and U.S. Army Cadet Command (ROTC), travel to #ColumbusGA in hopes of winning the #AllArmy2019 titles.
So stay tuned to our U.S. Army Small Arms Championship Event page, as well as our Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Flickr pages, for coverage on the competition.
