Colombian Marines conduct riverine training with Guatemalan Marines, as part of the U.S. Colombian Action Plan (USCAP), at Brigada de Infanteria de Marina, Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, Feb. 18, 2019. Guatemalan Marines were required to swim three kilometers and free-dive nine feet. The USCAP is a regional security cooperation plan in which the U.S. and Colombia have formalized support to multiple countries in Central America in the area of capacity building and enabling their efforts against transnational organized crime. Security Cooperation Training Teams alongside partner nations conduct small unit training in Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras in order to enhance relationships.
