Co G 1-168 Aviation Regiment "Valkyrie Dustoff" prepares to leave for Afghanistan at an official sendoff ceremony held at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Madison, Mississippi, Jan. 3, 2019. Approximately 60 Soldiers are deploying to Afghanistan for approximately 10 months in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel to provide rotary wing aviation medical evacuation support using UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters. Following the ceremony, the company will travel to Fort Bliss, Texas, to complete post-mobilization training for the deployment.
