180409-N-XK398-001 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 9, 2018) The amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) complete their Amphibious Warfare Certification with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) while out at sea. Ashland, assigned to Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
