Soldiers from the 289th Composite Supply Company, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade are on the ground supporting the Southwest border mission in Donna and Weslaco, Texas. The company is conducting service operations that include fuel, water, showers, laundry, and vehicle repair. They are also busy setting up a supply support activity, commonly referred to as an SSA, from which food, vehicle repair parts, and other general supplies will be distributed as needed throughout the area.
