    10th Air Force

In the November Commentary, 10th Air Force Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. James Loper, discusses innovation by highlighting two Reserve Citizen Airmen who bring "more" to the force.
From the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Test Center we have Capt Ryan McLean. He is a Traditional Reservist and serves as a Flight Test Engineer with AATC's Battlefield Airman Division. In civilian life, Ryan is a Program Manager at major defense contractor in Indianapolis where he leads multiple rapid-prototyping efforts in drones, artificial intelligence, and situational awareness.
In his civilian capacity, he develops AI-powered, tube-launched drones capable of autonomous swarming, communications relay, ISR, and Close Air Support. Ryan also works closely with Air Force Reserve Command as a program manager to field new "smart" cockpit displays for the HH-60G fleet, increasing aircrew situational awareness and improving Combat Search and Rescue capabilities.
Switching gears, but staying in Arizona, we have Tech Sgt. Renelle Conner,
from the 944th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. In her
Traditional reserve position, she serves as the Flight Chief of Dental
Services ensuring the 2,000 wing members are dental qualified for worldwide
deployments. In her civilian capacity, she is board certified and licensed
dentist while currently completing her orthodontics residency. She has spent
her last nine years in school and still contributes to the wing, pulling
from her advanced studies to provide added support.
These are just two examples of the amazing reserve citizen airmen we have in Tenth Air Force. We are where the Air Force Reserve combat capabilities lie. Thank you for what you do to provide power and vigilance, for what you do to provide lethality and combat effectiveness and for what you do to be “Always There!”
