Members of Florida Task Force Two and the South Carolina National Guard, along with local police and fire departments, assisted two local citizens by evacuating them from their home that had become surrounded by water in the Bucksport area of South Carolina, Sept. 25, 2018. Local citizens are cautioned to “turn around, don’t drown” if they come across cones, barriers or flooded roads when traveling in affected areas of S.C. The National Guard is partnered with many agencies and together are postured and ready for Search and Rescue operations as flooding is projected to continue in the Pee Dee region of the state.
